Getting There
Air Vanuatu: Direct flights from Sydney and Brisbane to Port Vila plus Qantas connections from other Australian cities. New direct services from Brisbane to Espiritu Santo commence in August 2007

Climate
The avarage temperature in the 'dry season' (May-October) is 24 C. During the 'green season' (November-April) the average temperature rises to 29 C with greater likelihood of tropical rains.
Entry Requirements
Australian travellers must hold passports valid for at least 6 months after the ticketed length of stay and a ticket for either return or onward travel is required. A visa for maximum stay of 30 days is obtained on arrival in Vanuatu.
Departure Tax
Departure tax is currently included in the price of your ticket. A domestic tax of VT300 per domestic sector must be paid in Vanuatu.
Attire
A light tropical wardrobe is required. brief attire is not recommended in public places.
Customs
Tipping and price bargaining are not appreciated in vanuatu. Please avoid both practices as offence may be taken.
Currency
The basic unit of currency is the Vatu
Getting Around
Local mini-busses abound. These provide very frequent but not scheduled services and are a cheap and easy way to get around. Rental cars and Taxi services are also available.
