Getting There

Climate

Fiji enjoys a mild tropical climate which means travel can be recommended year round. The fiji 'winter' from may to October is better known as the dry season with cooler temperatures and a drop in humidity. The 'summer' from November to April has higher temperatures and is likely to experience some tropical rains.

Entry Requirements

For Australian travellers, passports must be valid for at least 3 months after the ticketed length of stay and a ticket for either return or onward travel is required. visas are granted on arrival for a maximum stay of 4 months. Departure tax

Fiji Departure Tax is usually included in the price of your ticket.

Language

Fijian and Indian are the two languages of fiji, however English is spoken throughout the country

Attire

A light tropical wardrobe is required. When visiting local villages and towns, skimpy clothing may cause offense. remember to take at least a sulu (sarong) with you to cover up at these times.

Currency

The basic unit of currency is the fijian dollar.
